Jacqueline Hayley picked up her first Mills & Boon at fourteen and promptly fell head-over-heels for the promise of a happily-ever-after. Sweet Valley High never stood a chance against the daring historical heroines, brooding heroes and scandalous romances that captured her imagination.

 

Although she earned a bachelor’s degree in print journalism, Jacqueline’s persistent urge to embellish the facts made it clear she was far better suited to writing fiction. Her spicy post-apocalyptic romances were inspired by two formative obsessions: John Marsden’s Tomorrow, When the War Began series and The Walking Dead—although she always thought the end of the world could use significantly more romance.

 

Jacqueline writes between wrangling two daughters and her very own tall, handsome husband—wink, wink. When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found walking her dogs, thinking enthusiastically about prepping while doing absolutely none of it, or explaining to her family that she cannot possibly function because she has, once again, stayed up until 3 a.m. reading.
